Pub Crawl!
Those of you who have been to training would have heard us talking about keeping Sat 17th of April free. This is because we are having our first "social function / getting to know each other" night.
Due to Swinburne not going to the Albury Easter Carnival this year, we have decided to make our first social function an Albury tribute. So the theme for the night will be Albury, with the idea of wearing old Albury shirts. There are a few of us around the club who have more than one, so if you aren't one of the lucky ones, please ask around or, you can purchase an unused Albury shit from training in the next couple of weeks for only $5 (this way you don't have to wear someones sweaty shirt).
Also due to the theme being an Albury tribute we are thinking we will start our pub crawl at Taco Bills in Camberwell, with fish bowl margaritas (other drinks available) and mexican for dinner, then moving on by tram along Swan st (pubs have yet to be confirmed). We are looking at going to 3 pubs after taco bills.
As I said this will be a great night to get to know one another as we've had a lot of new people join Swinny this year. There will be a small cover charge of $5 which will enter you into the nights competition, with more details to come. Young families are more than welcome to come along to dinner and friends are more than welcome to come along to the night.
If you are interested in coming along either yourself or with friends please let the committee know by Wed 14th April, as I will need to confirm numbers with the pubs and taco bills.
Presentation Night
Traditionally an evening where the completion of the season, and its successes (and shortcomings!) are celebrated well into the early hours. No matter what has happened out on the field during the year, this night ensures that it finishes on a high note.
